I just got my ID.

I went to UPD (with my mom) this morning. Ang hirap sumakay kanina sa MRT. Punuan. Tatlo ang dumaan para maubos na yung mga nauna samin at makasakay na kami. It’s just been weeks siguro since I last went to UP. Pero parang nanibago ulet ako. At parang madami akong nakalimutang bagay-bagay.

These were just some minor forget-ings.

1. Nalimutan ko kung paano ii-insert yung MRT card dun sa insertan.

2. Muntik ko na makalimutan kunin yung card pagkalabas.

Fast forward. Nakapasok na kaming UP.

3. Di ko maalala kung nasaan ang OUR.

Bumaba kami sa may Vinzons hall, which I thought was correct kasi may nakita na akong OUR sa map ko. I checked my map at pinuntahan namin yung OUR na nakita ko dun. Lalala. Laaakaaaad. Ineeett.

Nasaan na ba kami?? Parang walang katao-tao masyado sa paligid. But the map tells me we’re on the right track.

But again, we’re not arriving anywhere. Edi tanong tanong din.

Aba, malayo daw dun yung OUR. WAT?! Edi balik sa dating daan. Hahaha. Afterwards, may nagturo na sa’min kung paano pumunta dun. Lakad.

After some time na-realize ko na iba palang OUR yung tinitingnan ko dun sa Map. (Epic fail for me) Nakita ko yung totoong OUR malapit dun palang pala sa unang-unang likuan pagkapasok ng UP.

Boom. Edi sobrang pawis ako sa kakalakad. Pano ako makakapagpapicture nyan? And at last, we’re at the OUR. Upo muna, kapagod eh.

Then, I went in, went up the second floor, saw some other students coming for the same reason, filled out some form, entered the room, waited for my turn, presented the requirements, had the guy take my picture, signed on some device (What do you call that?), waited again for my ID to be printed, got my ID, said ‘Thank you po’ to the guy, and walked out of the room.

For some reason, wala naman akong pirma dun sa ID. Where did my signature go? Nevermind, we’re outta here.

Whew, mabilis lang naman yung pagkuha ng ID. But our business in UPD today is not over yet. May ipapasa pa ako sa Vinzons.

Guess what? Naglakad kami.

Pawis. You can easily tell na pawisin ako. At naka-polo pa ako ah. Naka-t-shirt sa loob, syempre. Why do I think that I should wear polo, or something with collar, everytime magpapapicture ako? yung iba naman t-shirt lang ang suot.

Anyway, nakapunta na kami sa Vinzons. Inom ng pepsi, tapos deretso na. Yung kakagawang ID agad ang pinresent ko kay manong guard. Wow. :DD

At nandon na nga ako. Sa Room 302 ng Vinzons hall. Scholarships.

Wala lang pinasa ko lang photocopy ng form 5 ko at nung sa Landbank. Kaso may pinasulat pa sakin. At eto, may napakahalagang bagay na naman pala akong nalimutan:

HAHAHA. Buti nakahingi si mama sa isang tao dun.

Moving on… Pauwi na kami! \:D/

*Sigh* I thought dyan na magtatapos ang aking mga pagsubok. Sumakay na kami papuntang MRT. Tapos inaabangan ko yung bababaan. This time, I clearly remember where the place is or how it looks like. Pero boom. Sa iba kami napadpad. xD Malapit lang naman, we just needed to take the overpass/foot bridge and I knew where we were.

Meron pa. Sa MRT. Hindi kasi nagreremind yung driver (or sira lang yung speakers dun). Kinabahan lang ako kasi hindi nakasulat yung stations dun sa card ko. XD Nakapunta naman kami sa aming destinasyon nang matiwasay.

We got home safely. Sinabihan kasi ako ni mama na “i-diary” ko daw tong adventure namen. WATDA? So dito na lang.

May kasama pa ako nyan ah. How much worse could happen kung ako na lang mag-isa? College life, you are going to change me.

—My first ever completely read novel.

I actually started reading it waaay years ago, but never got to finish it. Most of the time, I stop and when I find time to read it again, I would go back to Chapter 1, wanting to refresh everything. And of course I would take a break again and the cycle continues.

But this time, I’ve made up my mind: I’m going to read it diligently, and finish it. I won’t make long intervals of reading and not-reading, which may be the reason why I couldn’t make it more than half of the book before. Yes, I’ve “set my heart to it”, as Anne would like to say it.

Even before, I have found Lucy Maud Montgomery’s work such a masterpiece. It has always interested me, however my tendency to be afraid of thick book—that I would look at it in despair that I would never have the willingness to turn those pages until the end—made me fail to pursue that interest. (Our book of Anne of Green Gables is not actually too thick, but it was enough to scare me.) But now, I am here, blogging my victory of finishing the book. HAHAHA. This is truly an accomplishment!

Ok, ok, I will now reflect on the novel.

The plot, well, is light yet moving. I have grown to love the character of Anne Shirley, her imaginative-ness, her appreciative-ness, her cleverness—all of her. I like how she grew in Green Gables starting from the day she was mistakenly adopted, to the day she had her profession. She grown-off most of her shortcomings as a carefree child of daydreams, and turned into a lady of likable traits. But she was still the Anne-girl they, and so do I, have always loved. There came at some points of my reading, that I couldn’t help but moisten my eyes a little (just a little, haha), because I couldn’t believe the Anne from the first pages was only 11 and at the last ones, she’s about 16, knowing that it was a complete mistake that she had been kept by the Cuthberts. Well, now, after everything, that doesn’t seem to be quite a mistake, does it? It was a good story, of course, with lots of heartwarming lessons. Oh, the other characters’ personalities were also interesting: Matthew’s shyness, Marilla’s stubbornness of telling Anne how she really feels, Ms. Rachel Lynde’s outspokenness, and each students’ unique attributes.

With the way the book was written, I have to say, it was very mind-stirring. However, there were so many words which were not even registered yet in my vocabulary. I found difficulty when descriptions of the places were made, for though I found it splendid, I really wished I fully understood the adjectives. Hahaha. I love how Anne speaks, using a lot of tag questions and quoting from different references of people she has been talking to. Anne’s big words were a trouble to me, too, but was amusing. Marilla’s “fiddlesticks” expression and Matthew’s “Well, now, I dunno” were also remarkable.

This is an old novel, true, but, never too old for anyone to read.

For certified bookworms, it may be nothing new, but having finished a book for the first time has really made me feel that I can do it again and read a lot more. I hope I can read more. HAHAHA. You know, somehow, I think I’m starting to think like Anne Shirley. ^^

Ansaya lang. Kala ko di na ko papasa eh. XD Letsugas kasi yung sensorimotor na di ko lam na sasagutan na palaa.

Pero sa April 8 pa daw ipapublish sa dyaryo. Baka meron pang ibang makapasa sa RA. :D

Ayun. Graduate na kami.

Maayos namang ginanap ang graduation kanina. Ang aga kong dumating kaya , nagpicture-picture na agad. hehehe. Tapos may photobooth pala sayang di masyado nakapagpicture don.

Daming nakuha ng Top 10. Swerte nila. XDD Daming scholarship, daming medal, daming plaque, daming PERA. HAHAHA. Pero yung iba naman ike-claim pa palaa, sa April pa makukuhaaaaaa.

Ay, valedictorian pala ako, kaya nag-valedictory address ako. HAHAHA. Di naman na ako masyado kinabahan, nung una lang. Maayos naman ang aking pagdeliver. Tumatak naman ang Notebook concept nya (HAHAHAHA). Kaso dahil dun, inaasar ako ng mga kapatid koooo! Sabi nila, “ako graphing notebook, siya spiral, siya green apple” WAAAAAAAAH. Grabe silaaa. Pero sabi naman ng mama ko, tsaka nung mama ni Joyce na nagcomment sa fb (XD), maganda daw ang aking speech, at maganda din ang pagdeliver ko. Yehey. Tuwa naman ako.

Di ko nga lang natuloy ang pagsabi ng “fert year” ni Maam Bayani, kasi baka mahalata nya. HAHAHA. Feel ko di naman niya nagets hehe.

Nag-iyakan na nung kumanta na (ay di pala nakakanta xD) ng “Today My Life Begins”, kaso di ako makaiyak eh. hahaha. Yakapan time.

Then nung tapos na ang lahat, aba may mga mag-iinterview daw sakin from TV5. Ayun di tuloy ako nakapagpicturan pa sa classmates. Parang pinopromote yung e-graduate sa mga sinasabi ni ate. Salamat sa live-streaming daw pwede nang mapanood ng mga kamag-anak ko, especially ng papa ko sa abroad, ang graduation. Eh panu yon, tapos na graduation nun. Di na pwede yung live stream HAHAHAH. di naman naka-upload nung tiningnan namin. hmm.

Edi yon, pinagskype pa kami para makausap si pa. Tapos tanung tanung. Pangit ata nung mga sagut ko. :<

At ngayon, napalabas na daw yun sa TV5! Di ko man lang napanood.. pero yaw ko din namang mapanood. Hahaha, gusto ko lang malaman ang feeling na makita sa TV. XD

And that’s it. Graduates na kamee. Pero balik pa kami sa skul bukas, linis linis din. :’)

HAHAHA. Jollibee talaga eh. Pero di nga, saya kapag may top ka kasi madali kang makakahingi ng kung anu-ano bilang prize mo.

Dami pinapahanda pag recognition! Grabe naman pinadala sa kin Andoks, Chooks-to-go, Sr. Pedro’s, at iba pa. Pwede Dadas na lang? Tapos kelangan pa ng menudo sa overall recog! Kwek kwek na nga lang sabi ko eh. With special sawsawan pa. Hay tapos mga teacher pa kelangan din mabigyan. (haha, ayaw daw magparinig ni Ma’am Bayani pero sinasabi nya talaga)

Tapos minsan di naman nagdadala yung iba. Tapos minsan yung dala ko di ko naman kakainin.

Anyway, last na naman to. Kaya… kwek-kwek na lang talaga. ;D
